Gallery 215 is happy to announce that come June 4th, 2016 we’ll be reopening for our 11th season, showcasing contemporary fine art by more-than-40 Nova Scotia artists. We invite you to come visit the gallery, located at 8247 Highway 215 in Selma (near Maitland) in the former Selmah Schoolhouse – also known as Selma Community Hall.
Come meet some of the artists behind the works you’ll find in our gallery, and watch them at work. Not only a location where your can view and buy Nova Scotia art, throughout the June 4th to October 16th period we will be hosting a number of art and cultural events which you may come and participate in whether you’re a local resident or a visitor passing through.
If you’re interested in history, you’ll want to visit us because we’re in a heritage building that dates back to 1865, during the golden age of sail. Our plans for 2016 include the creation of an interactive display so visitors can learn more about this 19th century schoolhouse and the role it has played over the years.
But for now, explore our website and learn more about the gallery, the artists represented, the events we’ll be hosting, and the remarkable building we call home.
