Artist Background
Bronwen, a native of Halifax, started her early artist interests at the age of three. She began studying music at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts (Violin, Piano, and Orchestral training) where she was the recipient of the Ifan Williams Memorial Scholarship. As Bronwen progressed with her studies and performing, she chose a variety of institutions and venues. Her exposure to the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design was through scholarship, culminating in a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in performance (violin)
During her music career she has performed with the New England Music Camp, the University of Vermont (Concert Mistress), Dalhousie Ensemble, the Prince Edward Island Symphony, Acadia Symphony, and the Chebucto Orchestra.
Her showing of art work have been in places such as the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Mount Saint Vincent, St. Francis Xavier, and Dalhousie University.
Bronwen, who resides in Hants County, is presently teaching practical and theoretical music while pursuing her art.
