Medium: Acrylic and Watercolour
Carolyn Kainola was born in Hamilton, Ontario, and moved to Nova Scotia in 1975. I started painting in acrylics, moved on to oils, and settled on watercolours. I learned to love this medium and its possibilities with colour, etc.
Coming from a family of gardeners, my favourite subject is flowers. Acrylics have gained my interest in the last while, and the possibilities there with colours and new paint products seem endless. Nova Scotia offers no end to subject matter.
I have been an award winner in the East Hants Fine Arts Association show in Milford, Nova Scotia. My paintings are hanging in Gallery 215 in Selma (near Maitland), Winding River in Stewiacke, and Cup of Soul in Elmsdale, Nova Scotia. The hang in homes in Nova Scotia and as far away as Vancouver and Florida.
