Carolyn Kainola

Acrylic, Watercolour, Alcohol Ink

Artist Background:
I was born in Hamilton, Ontario, and moved to Nova Scotia in 1972. I started painting in acrylics, moved on to oils, watercolours, and most recently have returned to acrylics and added alcohol inks to my portfolio.

I love to experiment with these mediums and the many possibilities with colour, texture etc.

Coming from a family of gardeners, my favourite subject to capture is florals. I have broadened my scope to include seascapes and birds, which embrace all the beauty that Nova Scotia offers!

I have been an Award Winning artist in the East Hants Fine Arts Association shows in Milford NS since its inception , an my paintings are hanging in Gallery 215 in Selma (near Maitland). They proudly hang in homes in Nova Scotia, and as far away as Vancouver BC, and Florida.
