Ken was born in Cambridge, Hants County, Nova Scotia, son of a cabinet maker and school teacher. He completed his formal education in Ontario as a chemical engineer.
Ken’s interest in art started at the age of 6 and continues to be nourished in beautiful Prince Edward Island.
Ken has worked with many prominent artists and attended many workshops. Ken retired from chemical engineering in 1989 in order to pursue his passion to become a full time artist.
Ken has had many one-man shows over the years as well as participating in group shows with many artists. He has earned an international reputation as a fine artist and mural painter.
Ken has his main studio in his home in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island as well as maintaining a studio in Selma, Nova Scotia.
This painter’s passion is the portrayal of rural scenes and seascapes with a particular interest in the depiction of rural textures.
