Kenneth Spearing is a Nova Scotia painter who began his formal education in Ontario as a graduate Chemical Engineer. He was only 6 years old when he became interested in creating art and he has furthered his art education with studies and training with many prominent artists. Ken’s passion is the portrayal of rural scenes, of particular interest is the forgotten past of Nova Scotia Agriculture and the detailed description of the rural textures.
Ken says “Find the true beauty, not in my work, but in nature’s creations that inspire me to portray them.”
Ken has work in oil and watercolour at Gallery 215. He is in demand for his large murals, both interior and exterior that adorn many buildings in Nova Scotia.
